2008 TO BE HUGE FOR BARKEY CREATIVE

MLS MAGAZINE joins the client list, with their most recent issue hitting bookstores.  About the experience of visiting Borders and seeing his work, Barkey says, "Wow...I was really proud, obviously...right now I'm just trying to do work that's entertaining.  I was lucky enough to get the call from MLS Magazine's supervising editor, Scott French.  When one of the top writers in soccer in the United States calls, that's a real honor for me..."


The upcoming year will be a record setting one for illustrator Brian Barkey and Barkey Creative.  The client list continues to grow with the development of several new projects.  Many state soccer associations have worked with Barkey Creative to revamp their coaching education curriculum.  Recently, New Mexico Youth Soccer has come on board as another state soccer association that will use Barkey's manual illustrations.  United States Youth Soccer and Barkey hope to illustrate a coaching guide for parents, meanwhile, Barkey is developing an exciting project that can only be described as a "Parent-Coach-Makeover Show".  More information about this project, including storyboards will soon appear on the Storyboard page of this site.

Says Barkey, "It's been amazing, especially the response that we got from attending the NSCAA Convention, and then to meet with folks from USYSA, that was fantastic.  Hopefully, we just keep building our client base so that the soccer community knows who we are and what we do." 

When asked, "Who's WE???" Barkey responded, "Me, my laptop, wacom tablet, pencils, markers, brushes and watercolors....I have a huge staff at Barkey Creative...Our office parties are wild..."
